My recommendation would be to use Wordpress (free blog tool) and theme it the way you want. You can have static pages as well as blog posts, so it can work just as a simple content management system.

Hi, yes, sorry for not replying to it. Am looking at other options (which there seem to be plenty of) and realised that sorting out how I will build my website will help in making a decision there. Thanks so much for all of your help!!
