disappearing post

Weird, so one of my LJ posts from last year (one that is actually useful, and which I occasionally refer people to) has completely disappeared.

I suppose I might have accidentally clicked on edit, and then clicked on delete, but it's a bit hard to believe.

Anyone else had this problem?

Was that the fish oil one? Because I can't find it either.

No, this hasn't happened to me, and I quite often go hunting for old posts to reference.

Missing post

LJ have had problems at various times with "misplacing" posts and/or comments in their database, somewhere in the course of shuffling things around their hardware. Often they've been able to find them again (I suspect what they lose is not the post, but the record of what it belongs with). If you have some idea when it might have been posted, and a subject/body text thing they could search for it could be worth filing a support request and asking if they can find it again. (IIRC the Fish Oil one was last year.) It does seem unlikely you'd have deliberately deleted it and not remembered!

OK, ta - I might do this - I know exactly when it was as there's a link to it from tats' blog. Wouldn't bother for most of my posts, but that one was actually useful!
