Another day, another ...

I'm doing OK today,

I don't think I've mentioned on here yet that I have a 4mm kidney stone in my left kidney.  It has given me such joy over the past 6 weeks.  Today, however, I am relatively pain-free.  That's good.  Even better, I had an impromptu lunch with a colleague at one of my favorite spots - Pod - a really great sushi restaurant on Penn ( Read more... )

OUCH! I had an 8mm kidney stone 2 summers ago. I had to go in for an operation to have it removed as it was too big to pass on my own.

After 2 trips to the ER and mucho morphine, an operation to remove it, 4 weeks of having a renal stent in (the worst part), I no longer have it.

Hope you don't have to go through what I did. :-) You're FAR too cute for that!!

8mm - YIKES. That must have sucked big time.

I had a 4mm stone in the spring. I passed it and it felt like my balls were going to explode the night before I did. Truly sucky. So imagine my glee when I realized I had another one in late October. The CT scan on Monday showed it to be another 4mm puppy.

This one doesn't appear to want to pass. I'm hoping they can blast it away. I really don't want the renal stent which I've heard so many wonderful stories about. But... I'm getting to a point where I might opt for that over the continued pain.

Hopefully they will be able to blast it apart, mine was lodged in the Ureter so that wasn't an option..

My fingers are crossed for ya!!

Yes, but many painkillers lead to constipation, which in turn leads to face scrunching and wrinkles... it's a vicious cycle.

I'm almost out of my Darvocet and Miguel's Percocet. I need to give my Dr. a little ringy-dingy.
