the univeristy is on strike STILL... and the students are striking until next week. and stupid k college (just kidding cause i love k but this is kind of dumb) makes it so that you cant incomplete or drop a class (even though im technically not even "registered" for a class) so you can only pass or fail so i have to take this class that never ( Read more... )

So the fête this weekend went really well. I thought I was going to be pretty grossed out by the killing of the mouton but it actually wasn't that bad: in part because there wasn't as much blood as I thought there was going to be and in part because it was just fascinating! So currently, everyone in Sénégal is getting ready for a big fête tomorrow - Tabaski. Tabaski is one of the biggest, if not THE biggest, fêtes (holidays) here.
