So it's been, what, two years? I figure I might as well dust this out and see who's still around...

Yes, it's Coman here, bored, in Bunbury, and on the net again. Beware.

So what have I been doing?

Well, I'm teaching maths in Bunbury, and really loving it. I'm teaching Intro Calc this year (WHOO) so I get to do actual interesting and semi-challenging ( Read more... )

Long time no see, Coman.
Good to hear you're doing well!

I'm living in Japan myself (Saitama-ken, near Tokyo) and also teaching, but English.

And further to that very informative comment...

I've been working at the Dept of Health doing data stuff (any further description is just too boring), planning a wedding, playing basketball, listening to music, writing reviews and generally chillaxing.

Glad you're having a good time teaching and whatnot :)

Hey. Good to hear you're still enjoying teaching. :)

I'm working for the Uni and studying part-time in a new degree (English and Medieval History, whee). Arts is more interesting than Science, but my marks aren't as good.

I bought myself an electric guitar and I'm teaching myself chords at the moment. I'm also learning to ride a motorbike. Should have my licence pretty soon. Both of these things are awesome.

I'm very stressed at the moment, with major assignments to work on and three functions for 100-200 people to organise at work in the next couple of months. There's also heaps of work to be done on the house (this week has been for re-wiring, an army of electricians have replaced all the electrics). After that, there's a list of things to repair and replace as long as my arm. Good times. At least the job means I'll be able to afford to do a lot of what needs to be done.

We should catch up some time. I'll be heading down to Manjimup around Christmas, maybe I could drop by Bunbury on the way.
