Before they came the air was calm enough, Coming and going, breath by breath, without any fuss. Then the tulips filled it up like a loud noise. Now the air snags and eddies round them the way a river Snags and eddies round a sunken rust-red engine. They concentrate my attention, that was happy Playing and resting without committing itself.
I LOVE THAT PART. and i heart that poem. it reminds me of so much that is personal and fragile :).
I LOVE SO MANY OF HER POEMS I WAS READING APRIL 18TH TODAY IT BROUGHT ON SO MUCH MORE MEANING
a future was lost yesterday as easily and irretrievably as a tennis ball at twilight -SYLVIA PLATH IT IS SO GREAT!!! IT MAKES ME HAPPY YET SO VERY SAD AT THE SAME TIME.
