But of course

So I wanted to try to relax and enjoy this weekend as much as possible, since I'm now back at work. Snuffy and I have had pretty good mornings together - but yesterday afternoon was really hard.

She just woke up - so more later!

I can't remember what I was going to write yesterday, since last night was the worst night we'd had in a while. Snuffy went down at 9, woke up at 1, wouldn't go back to sleep until 3, then woke up at 4:30, 5:30, 6 - but wouldn't actually eat at 5:30 or 6 - and only ate a little at 6:45 before we all had to leave.

Sigh... hopefully things will get better soon. I can't tell if Snuffy's just gassy - I haven't changed my diet, but I'm going to try cutting out dairy, and chocolate. This is going to be really hard, but if it means Snuffy and I can sleep better, it will be worth it. If that doesn't help within a couple weeks, I'll have to come up with something else...

Our nights have been getting more difficult as well. We really need to figure out some way to get him down before 11pm. We started at 8:30 last night and still ended up taking him for a drive (after a meltdown on all our parts) at about 10:30.

Good luck with the dairy and chocolate. I kept saying I was going to do it, but never could. I always said that if I had to it would be the one thing that would force me to wean.

Maybe it's the change of the seasons and more confusion with it being warmer than usual? I just don't get it. Snuffy has also been screaming more than she ever did before. It's the "normal" 'I'm tired and need to sleep' scream, but multiple times this weekend she didn't actually sleep. She just screamed until she either decided she wanted to just close her eyes for a minute and that's it, or something distracted her enough that she forgot about it. And when we took her for a drive in the afternoon so she could go to sleep - she was awake for the whole time and started screaming shortly after getting home ( ... )
