Oh don't worry. I want him to regenerate, so he won't. ;)
Man, that bit with Rose was a cheat, wasn't it? All that built up emotion, then zap! You think old Rusty could have given us a leetle second of catharsis before the dalek crashed the reunion but no...
Although I don't entirely trust Harriet Jones. It all just seemed a little too easy to me. Too pat. (Or maybe that's just the writing)
Hee, poor Lilly, you're stuck with Ten for at least another year. :P
As much as I've been uncertain about Rose coming back, I'll be damned if I didn't make some sort of inhuman noise when that stupid Dalek got in the way. I'd better get some sort of actual resolution with them this time around.
Hmm.. I didn't even think that maybe Harriet was up to no good. But then again, I'm pretty unobservant about these sorts of things unless someone points them out. Now that you mention it, though, it does seem like it was kind of easy for her to do on her own.
Harriet, honestly, did what most people would do. Given that every alien she had encountered, save the Doctor, slaughtered people in front of her eyes, I think her reaction was very human.
That said, she got what she deserved in the Christmas Invasion, but she wasn't a bad person. Just someone that made a wrong choice. Sending a "warning" to other races on one hand, saying come get us if you dare on the other.
While the real answer is "Well, we're trying to stretch the budget so stuff it!" in story terms Earth has become a full on target ever since the Sycorax attack. You have to wonder if making an example of an aggressor back fired. Big time.
And as RTD said, EVERY unrequited romance should have a Dalek attack in. Four Weddings and a Funeral would have been served much better with evil mutants shouting at everyone.
Over all, I've enjoyed the return. Though honestly, I'm more giddy over the Sarah Jane/Torchwood tie-ins. And, Rose or no Rose, I'd still like more Donna.
