It's tough to pinpoint that feeling every time another year passes from that event. Life changed, but I worry about how Jingoistic something like a direct attack turns even the most pacifist american. I worry that come November 2008 the fervor of the 7 year anniversary won't have faded and people will make choices based on that resurgence of anger and fear.

I have great hope for our future, but I'm not so sure I should.
