Holy crap! You went to Costa Rica!!! Why Costa Rica in particular?

I love Catch-22 (they made us read it senior year in high school). It's actually really funny and fast, and worth a read if you have the time.

As far as travelling, I think it can become escapism if it's tourism, but the way we travel (with our budgets, anyway) is completely different. You learn so much about other countries, other people, and just humanity in general.
