I can relate. I never knew I had a real father until I was 15, and only then did I knowhim for a bout a year, before I decided to walk away. He wasn't the person I would've looked up to, and I'm actually glad I didn't have him as a figure head in my life. So keep your chin up hun, alls well that ends well.
::hugs:: I know how you feel too... I only saw my real father 3 times in my whole life.. and twice wasn't that great or anything nice to speak of...
I hope one day you can have a decent relationship.. even if it is just phone calls or emails... That's how it ended with my father... I really wish (now that he's gone) we could've spent more time together knowing each other.
The man that gave me life did no walk me down the isle but my father did. The man that gave me life did not in anyway try to be a father so I look at it as if I'm am better off without a man like that in my life. I think I'm a better person because I did no have him. He is a homeless man that is almost dead at the age of 50 something. I give him about 5 more years. So dont ever let your birth father get you down I'm sure your Mother did just fine without him. If your Uncle has always been there for you give him the honor of walking you.
