i didn't put nearly so much effort into naming my cat as you have your dog. ;)

Haha, that's awesome. When I first got my 2 cats, I had decided on names for them, only to change them a few months later because 1. the names were too confusing and 2. the names didn't really fit. So I figured I should put more thought into naming my dog, especially since it's not so easy to change a dog's name once it's used to one.
