Yes, I've gotten addicted to another TV show. I can't seem to stop myself! At least this one only ran for one season. And it's a cartoon. Well, anime, really. Fruits Basket. OMG!LOVE! I know
( Read more... )
How much anime do you watch? I fear that whole realm of fandom, on account of it being huge and potentially expensive, yet at the same time, I'm curious.
Well...I'm just starting to venture into the realm of anime. So far, just Fruits Basket, although I can see myself getting addicted to others.
I understand what you mean. I did too, for the longest time. I'd walk by that section at Best Buy and just go, "Meh. Whatever." Now I feel myself starting to get sucked in. *sigh* Surprisingly, the first (and only) season of Fruits Basket is about $45, so it's about on average with other TV shows. I haven't looked much at other anime shows. Well, unless you count Avatar: The Last Airbender.
I'm baffled as to who came up with this whole concept of various ages having behavior expectations anyway.
I have a seasons of Twelve Kingdoms on dvd, which is supposed to be an excellent series, but I haven't even gotten though the first disk yet. It's just too deadly serious for me, I guess. But something funny would probably pull me in successfully. Meh. I'm happy with my ginormous list of sci-fi anyway.
LOL! Good point. My dad still loves to watch Donald Duck cartoons. He's probably the reason I don't act my age. And whoever came up with that phrase "act your age" needs to be strung up by their toes and soundly beaten...
You'd like Avatar then. Sokka is hilarious. I've never heard of Twelve Kingdoms. What's it about?
I know! Can you believe I've gotten hooked on an anime show? It's all Kate's fault. You met her, didn't you? The redhead? (Okay, the redhead who's NOT two years old and NOT my niece.) She's going to borrow me her dvd's! YAY!
Isn't it grand?
We should both quit our jobs and become professional couch potatoes. Sounds like a plan to me.
I'm kind of envious that you have a new show that's doing it for you. Right now, even House isn't quite getting me off the way it should. I mean, Hugh as House still does it for me, I just miss the H/C pairing so much and have so little hope that it will ever be picked up again that it gets me down.
I keep meaning to watch Alias. And I'm thinking about renting the DVDs of the later seasons of ER, which I stopped watching some years ago. It got a bit melodramatic after a while.
Right now, I can't wait for 30 Rock, S2 to come out on DVD.
I know what you mean. I did break down and buy season three, but I've only watched about four episodes of it. I just can't get excited about it much anymore. It's depressing, really. I still adore HL and JM and everyone, but...blah. Something needs to change for me to get excited about it again. I miss the H/C, too. So, until that happens, I'm branching out! Re-visiting my love for my old fandoms like Due South, Alias, Stargate, and West Wing. Good times.
You would love Alias. I stopped watching ER after season 5. In my opinion, it should have died then. It got waaaaay too over-the-top after that. I am excited for new episodes of Bones to start airing again! YAY! :D

I definitely do NOT act my age... :-)

Lack of time really sucks! Maybe I should quit my job, then I would have more time to watch wonderous TV things!
