I agree with what everybody has said about this, and want to add that Universities are commercial entities too, and they sell diplomas with some sort of education attached, and they will never say anything but their diploma is worth something. But the responsibility is on the buyer of said paper to find out the real value of that diploma before they buy the ticket.

It would be nice if colleges that accepted federal funds had to in a straightforward way show the employment and salary futures for students who have completed the program. But even then, there is never a guarantee that 4 years into a program, the buggywhip technology field will be the same one when you entered.
