I'm so happy that my take on the Philippines worked for you. I really wanted to show how much she looks up to America (despite all those conflicting emotions from the past), and how America does have some affection towards her, but she's just not flashy enough to hold his attention for long, or in the way that she would like...
Oh, and it's a bit embarrassing, but the only Tagalog words I know are basic greetings, words for food and, of course, the swears :D

Awwww~ this story is so true and so sad:( i guess the Philippines cant be paired up with anyone because every character that she has relations with has someone else....so she's like always alone deep down inside XD

Thanks for commenting! I suppose that's true, but then *all* of the nations have had/are having some kind of love/hate/incestuous relationship with each other, so she's not totally alone, because I think they're all pretty messed up really :D (which is one of the reasons I adore this series so much, as I love getting into everyone's historical backstories)
