A question for the Final Fantasy fandom

Why is Rinoa Heartilly so hated? I really don't get all the hatred for this character. I have read all kinds of reasons people give on websites but to be quite honest none of it makes sense to me. Since when is being a strong optimistic female a negative thing? Seriously on some Final Fantasy websites the hatred of this character is so strong I

I don't understand either. I ask the same for Tifa.. Both are characters that some people just hate for unknown reasons, but when I played the game I just can't see anything worth hating about them. :/

I love Tifa as well! I just don't get it. It seems very silly considering that both are strong optimistic female characters. You'd think that would be considered a good thing.

I think a lot of people see her as being a whiny young woman with daddy issues. (I don't..in fact she's my favorite *points to username*). I also don't understand the whole Ultimecia is Rinoa from the future spiel.

I know how you feel. Some people just can't dig their heads down deep to enjoy storylines.

Random Sidenote: I actually used to really dislike Selphie because of her whole obsession with trains and such XD In fact one time I went to attack her with Squall out of frustration and forgot I had Death junctioned to Status-ATK. XD I was like....whoops...sorry Selphie ^^;;; After that I didn't hate on her so bad.

I don't understand that theory either honestly. I have read through it more than once and still don't. I just didn't see it that way.

I loved your Selphie story. I always found her to be cute with her whole LOL let's just blow it up logic at one point in the game when she's exclaiming she's got dynamite.

On a sidenote if you want to play through Final Fantasy VIII again it is on the PSN for ten dollars and can be played on PS3 or PSP :)

Oh I still own my copies of FF4 (the one that came with chrono trigger for the PS1), FF8, FF9, FFX-2, & FF12. I've been meaning to get my hands on FF7 and FFX. Technically I have FF11, but with no monies I no can play XD

Yeah after that whole Selphie dying thing I started to use her and Irvine more often and wow they're awesome. It's only Zell I noticed who I can't seem to get the most out of his limit breaks :(

I got VII,VIII and IX on the PSN. I so wish they would put X on there but it's not likely I've heard.

Have you played XIII at all? I really enjoyed it though reviews are somewhat mixed.
