I do hope this message arrives on time... you can never trust the carrier pigeons to get anywhere when they're supposed to.
I just wanted to wish you a happy birthday, of course. I wish I could be there, but you know how things are right now. I do hope that you heal soon from your injuries and that perhaps you'll be able to join us in the near future.
