Eating disorders, bullying and improved academic results are on the agenda when Louise Robert-Smith takes charge of the exclusive girls' school Ascham this week.
Mrs Robert-Smith was recruited to lift the school's academic performance and end a period of instability that has seen the school run by three headmistresses in the past year.
In an exclusive interview, she told The Sunday Telegraph about her plans for the Edgecliff school.
"We've organised a series of workshops with staff and talks for parents. We need to have strong zero tolerance to bullying and give students the strategies they need to deal with bullying."
Mrs Robert-Smith, who has spent the past nine years as headmistress of the high-performing selective school North Sydney Girls' High, also plans to introduce more community service including visits to nursing homes.
