Blizzard yesterday. Power out since ~4pm. Posting from a Dunkin Donuts in the next town. Need to figure out how to cook the food in the freezer with no electricity to power the stove/oven. September Game
So, the Quest game happened. There was a lot that went wrong in the run-up to this game; I lost two NPCs and a co-GM less than a week before the game to family/health emergencies, and I had to scramble to recruit replacements and re-shuffle casting in order to fill the spaces. Hilarious Computer Virus Misadventures
So, after about three hours of aggravation, I made a computer virus go away. Wouldn't you know, the first day in months that I use my laptop, on our first day of having our own wi-fi network, this happens. Admittedly, today's experiment proved to be somewhat less adventurous than anticipated; who knew biscuits were so easy to make (and so delicious)? We made strawberry shortcakes tonight, after finding some surprisingly-not-horrible-looking strawberries at the grocery store a couple of days ago, for $2/pound. Why is real life a roleplaying game?
So it's a good thing I got those experience points from the bat encounter a few weeks ago, because I just spent them on another point in Drive. Translation: our old car died on me, and the one we got to replace it is a stick shift, which I've just learned how to drive.
