My milk supply is dwindling. I'm only getting half an ounce total now. I've heard of cookies and teas that help increase production- anyone wanna share some recipes ( Read more... )

Have you tried Gripe Water? I swear that stuff is amazing. Breastfeeding helps gas so that's probably it.

AND it could be she couldn't smell milk when he held her. She can smell yours and wants it :)

I agree. Both of my kids pulled the nurse to pacify thing. They know you have the equipment even if you're not using it. That little bit she definately can smell and it triggers it. Sometimes when Ben was crazy fussy like that I would give him a pacifier, tilt him like he would be nursing, and press him against my chest. Then stand and sway. He'd fight right off, because it wasn't what he wanted. But gradually got used to it. When he was that little it was sometimes the only thing that worked.
Oh and he did like to lay pressed against me on his side with my rubbing his leg when he was her age.

I used to cry to baby Ben about how I didn't know what he wanted. And we would sway and sway until I thought my hip was going to disconnect. He was much fussier than Lily. He still wants me, so my being crazy obviously didn't kill it. We just had to find his tricks.
