hm. hi. things are not going the way it is supposed to and it sucks. i hate americans sometimes. such flakey whores. so insincere. i never know what they think. wouldn't it be nice if some one says "wow, that's really great", i could just be like, "wow, this person really thinks this is great!"?? words are so useless. why do they even ( Read more... )

The problem with a lot of New Yorkers is that they simply don't listen. Instead they inflate their egos by blathering useless, self-centered comments. yeah, that also goes real well with a "lawn-guyland" accent. And their response to anything relevant to your situation is ..."yeah, that's cool.". meanwhile, you're grieving over your dead dog or something of the sort. hmm, no...it's not cool, man. really.

as far as politeness goes, new york is one of the LEAST likely places that someone would say "wow this is great" if they didn't really think it was great.

people in new york tend to be pretty honest about what they think.. even to the point of being mean

maybe, but it really depends on the person.
most of the people i encounter know that certain amount of conformity and brown nosing is required to "make it" in the city. and they make it a habbit/addiction out of it and do it on an everyday basis.
