Gutting those URL preview annoyances

Nov 05, 2007 18:25

This LiveJournal entry provides a number of ways to disable those aggravating Snap.com URL previews.

I personally actually (gasp) installed an add-on to Firefox and put the following block filters in: *.snap.com and *.inxp.com* Now get off mah lawn, adverts!

And thank you, Twins!

Oh, goodie, so I'm not the only one who blocked that stuff.

I don't know what it is or what it does, but I've gotten along so far without it and I'll continue to do so thank-you-very-much-good-DAY-sir.

It started to annoy me when I'd move my mouse down (while reading the paragraph above) and suddenly the text got blocked. Bah.

Sadly my tendency to have Firefox destroy all cookies upon closing also means the turn-this-off preference setting from the pop-ups also got thrown out.
