I would hope that if I ever had something like that happen to me, I too would drop the skepticism and pay attention. But some people are pretty dense (poor Susan)!

One of the nice things about following Keppie is that almost everything is already said. The woman, besides being a near genius of a writer, knows her comma from a dead horse better than anyone else I know.

I am going to agree with her about author's notes. They should never be apologies. You can save those for when you win the Nebula, or Hugo, or Pulitzer, etc. If I were going to put something in the A/N perhaps something about the Major vs Minor Arcana. And my own pet peeve, and something that is just personal...I dislike A/N before the story. Let me read the story first,eh? Onward
