you forget though that it was required by law to join the Hitler Youth in the thirties and forties in Germany...

Doesn't mean he'll be good, necessarily, but you do have to look at the whole picture.

Yeah, I've actually learned a lot more about the pope now. I was just going off what I knew at the time. I figured it was my journal so it wasn't anything of consequence. But even after learning about the new pope I still disagree with him on a lot of levels. It seems as though he wants to turn the church back. He's too infatuated with old-conservative ideas. But we'll see...
