Roadtrip report #2
Day 3:
Fort Nelson, BC to Vegreville, AB. Now driving on real 4-lane highway! The weather continues to be wonderful, and while we are out of the mountains, the prairie reminds us both of western North Dakota. And now that we're actually in civilization (we know this because of the appearance of Wal-Mart and Tim Hortons), the hotel prices are much cheaper. The next time I do this, I'm doing it in summer so camping is a viable option--not so much at the beginning with the snow on the ground!
Stopped for late Chinese food dinner in Edmonton--hilariously, cynic51 was craving Mu Shu all day (which we all know is not real Chinese food) and P&L Chinese, our ultimate dinner spot, ended up being very authentic (and very, very tasty!!!). Enough for Chinese food leftovers for breakfast.
Food goals tomorrow include a stop at A&W. Looking forward to being in North Dakota very soon.
