2014 - my year in books

Jan 06, 2015 17:00

In 2014, I read 41 books - a respectable pace, given that this year was pretty big on life transitions. Only one book on the list made the "dislike" category - Gary Shteyngart's memoir, which was a book club pick - I found him to be very unsympathetic. I did find a number of "I LOVE THIS BOOK!" books, including two that cynic51 procured for me for Hanukkah and that I am very excited about owning and rereading - The Lowland, by Jhumpa Lahiri, and The Ocean at the End of the Lane by the always excellent Neil Gaiman.

As always, please find me on Goodreads, and share what you've particularly loved reading this year in the comments!
