cynic51. Admittedly, he did do most of the work already....
1. Minot, North Dakota. I have no memories of this house, as we moved from it two weeks after I was born.
2. Butte, Montana. I have no memories of this house either, other than sitting on the front porch watching the planes land at the airport.
3. As
cynic51 pointed out, we lived in the North Star Inn in Grand Forks, North Dakota for one month while we went house hunting. I have vague memories of this, and cannot confirm any rumors of endless viewings of Raiders of the Lost Ark.
4. The house in Thompson, North Dakota. This is now and forever 'home' in my mind, too. I still get jury notices here, though it stopped being my official address in May, 2007 (which is LONG after I stopped living there).
5. Ah, University! CWRU, Cleveland, Ohio. Sherman, 4th floor was the name of the game, and my first year in the dorms, I was lucky/unlucky enough to have my roommate....not show up for classes. Lived down the hall from KPA, and two floors up from numerous fun people :-) August 1999 - May 2000.
6. First summer in Cleveland, and I was recruited to live at the Phi Kap House. Gee, whoever conned me into that one? Shared the FOB room with KF, and became her friend due to my complete lack of hesitation at kicking unwanted men out of our room. Long story :-) May 2000 - August 2000.
7. Ah, University! Back at Sherman, 4th floor, with roommate JH. More fun antics were had by all. This would be the year of the mattress surfing down the stairs and the skateboard jousting. August 2000 - May 2001.
8. Second summer in Cleveland. Lived in outer room of the Studio with LF, and JR in inner room of Studio. Fun summer :-) Was this mud wrestling year? I forget....May 2001 - August 2001.
9. Ah, University! But wait! I spent this year at the lovely University of Surrey, and called Guildford Court my home. Friday night dinners soaked with wine, nights at the Student Union, and one heck of a Cabaret production. Fun times! August 2001 - May 2002.
10. Back in the USA, occupying apartment on East 116th with KPA and LF. Far superior to living in the dorms :-) June 2002 - May 2003.
11. Back in North Dakota, sort of. I went to Peru for 6 weeks, then hung out in ND waiting for life as a grad student to start. May 2003 - August 2003.
12. Ah, Minneapolis! For the first year of graduate school, I lived off of River Road on the border of Minneapolis and Saint Paul with 4 4th-year medical students. This apartment was always freezing. Always. August 2003 - May 2004.
13. Moved into apartment off of University Dr near St. Anthony Main with MG. Loved this apartment, and this part of town! Walking distance to Pizza Nea, a movie theater, and Surdycks. Love, love, love. May 2004 - August 2005.
14. Moved out on my own once I became gainfully employed, (I guess I really do prefer to live by myself) and bit the bullet and moved to Saint Paul. Loved the neighborhood on Randolph and Fairview (Mississippi Market! walking distance to Ford and Cleveland! Love, love, love!), even if the landlord was a bit useless. August 2005 - September 2007.
15. Hot-lanta! Only there for one year, and was thus willing to live in less than ideal circumstances. Had I to do it over, I would have definitely found a different living situation....but the location at the upper end of Virginia Highlands couldn't be beat. (Walking to Alon's! Walking to Paulo's Gelato! Love, love, love!) October 2007 - September 2008.
16. Anchorage. Temporary quarters on the East side, but fully settled near Westchester Lagoon, and LOVE the location. LOVE the landlords, who are incredibly responsive. Love the short walk to Snow City Cafe. October 2008 - until at least October 2010, and who knows after that......
What about you, friends?
