1. The voice as a healing instrument - WORKSHOP with Susana Tapia Leon an Ecuadorian medicine woman

Sounds, re-establishes a natural rhythms, creativity, building up our self esteem; this in turn liberates energy that is stagnant in our emotions, which helps release states of depression and anxiety and to keep our spirits young. Come and join Susana, as she will be working with sound and healings of the voice and heart. We will also be working with danza and icaro (dance and song). She incorporates the philosophy of oriental medicine (Nei-Jing) with Andean melodies and ceremonial drumming.

In a sacred space of trust, encouragement, respect and personal growth we will honor the divine feminine and our powers to heal the world, our communities and ourselves. Celebrate Spirit, learn the basic techniques of core shamanism, meet your Spirit Guides, deepen your shamanic practice, drum, chant, move and above all, have fun. 4. The Mongolian Orphan Project.
Here is an opportunity to help some of over 4,000 orphan children who live under the streets of Ulaanbaatar, with sometime in minus 40º F. Darima, our circle member, is going home in the middle of June and she would like to bring with her new and used clothes, blankets, vitamins, toys, books, school supplies etc. Monetary donations to purchase basic medicine will be appreciated. Uncle is a storyteller, a leader, a traditional drum dancer and singer, and a member of the World Council of Elders. Sunday, October 9, 2005 - 1 PM - Sunset at The Great Hill - (between 103rd -106th Streets - Central Park West)
Join our earth honoring community and celebrate the spirit world. Come drum, sing, dance, journey and shapeshift with indigenous shamans. Please bring food & non-alcoholic drinks for potluck picnic. Also bring a rattle/drum, a notepad and pen/pencil, bandana & blanket. The event is free/donations accepted. Children are welcome! No raindate.

+ We are looking to start a monthly Shamanic Films night. If you have or know of a space with large TV and a room big enough for 20 people please let Itzhak know.
+ The NYSC is in the process of becoming a not-for-profit organization.
+ We would like to build a NY Shamanic Center, which will become the center for all our and other shamanic groups' activities (workshops, films lectures, gatherings), including healings, library, shamanic supplies store, visiting shamans temporary residence, etc. If you can help bring this vision to life, contact Itzhak.
