WOW!!! We got NAILED last night! Around 6-8 inches, I am guessing. School closed for the day (So, a day off for me!), roads closed, people stranded in cars. It was scary and weird, but filled with heroics by a lot of people ( Read more... )

At least you don't live at the top or bottom of a hill where there is the possibility of cars crashing into your car/yard/house. I would be a bit worried for Stevo. Hopefully there aren't any idiots out trying to drive up or down his hill. I am fortunate I live in a level area. I did traverse 167 to work this morning. It was an adventure. I exited at 84th and nearly ever so slowly rammed a semi at the bottom of the off ramp. I was able to avoid it, thankfully. I drove west valley home and it wasn't too bad, just patches of ice here and there. I hope the drive is a bit better tomorrow as I need to get to work and back.

Luckily we have had no one crash in to our house or driveway, because there were plenty of idiots trying to go up or down the hill. In fact in all the time we have lived here we have had only one mishap. 3 years ago or so someone was going too fast in the snow and ran up in to our yard and hit the mailboxes between our house and the neighbors house. It tore up our lawn a bit and we had to re-cement the mailboxes in the ground, but there was no major damage. We have lived there for 9 years now and (knock on wood) we have come through relatively unscathed.
