During an otherwise quite interesting conversation with [name deleted to protect the guilty], he said, of Sarah Jessica Parker, "oh, you mean that bitch from Sex in the City". I must be the wrong "certain age" because not only does the character not appeal to me, I can't even stand her for 5 seconds onscreen.

Not particularly fond of other SJP characters - but they don't annoy me the way Carrie does. It's almost as bad as my reaction to Buffy (the character, not the show)(I actually enjoy Buffy the show, so long as Buffy the character isn't in the scene).

I can see an argument for her being annoying, but that doesn't automatically make her not a nice character- you could dismiss all of the women from Sex in the City as not nice anyway, if you just went on the more sensationalist bits (you know, the ones you see in the trailers and the ones that are so much easier to remember).
