Happy anniversary. 11 years is an accomplishment. I think I've done all of 5 before.

I think you're right about the FB archival result. When it's gone, it's gone, so nothing important, or historic need be put there that you don't record somewhere else. Another reason why I use it only for shallow exchanges vs. meaningful conversation which can be had here at LJ. FB is all about the moment. LJ is all about the entire time. Far more depth to this medium and that's why I stick with it.
