Originally when I signed up for the job, I was told that we'd be up here 6-8 weeks. On Thursday, found out otherwise. We'll need to be up here until the end of August. For those of you counting, that's at least 10 weeks. Just when I was getting to the point that I was thinking I was in the downward stretch toward leaving. No....another 5 weeks it

In the long run, I don't think any of us actually knows what's best for us. Sometimes you gotta pick a path and make the best of it. *shrug*

I'm beginning to realize this. Just worried about picking the wrong path.

I was going to say that there really isn't a 'wrong' path per se, but then I think about all those drug dealers and homicidal maniacs and well... I guess that would be a good example of taking the wrong path. ;P

Really, though... you can't think of it in terms of right or wrong because you're anticipating regret if you choose one path over another. There's no way of knowing where one path could have led you versus the other.

It seems we're always slammed with outlines of how life is supposed to be - grow up, go to college, get a career, get married, have kids... blah, blah, blah. Believe me, I know how it feels to look at life and think, 'god, I've obviously fucked up somewhere because this isn't where I thought I'd be at this point.' Just gotta keep in mind that it's okay if you make a mistake as long as you don't let yourself drown in regret for making it.
