I got a few euros to start off here, but I'm pretty sure the rate was better if I just used my visa card to withdraw them directly from bank machines over here. Yes, you still pay a fee for using a bank machine that is not your bank's, but the exchange rate was fairer. At least that's what I tell myself. :)

I think you should talk to your bank. TD visa has low fees, but I don't know that all banks/credit cards do. I also don't know what Barclays is. Have you googled it and Amsterdam?

it's a bank, they don't have service fees or at least low ones if they do. I think they are in Amsterdam, just not sure where. I will see if Jamesey can get some cash for me. If not, I will try tomorrow. I'm not really worried.
