But my favorite time with Ten was the Donna phase, when romance was not even on the menu.

I couldn't agree with you more. Three of my favourite episodes are with Rose, and two with Martha, but my favourite Companion overall was definitely Donna. They just had the best dynamic -- and I get a similar vibe from Eleven, Amy, and Rory.

(And, yes, I love Rory too. And Matt Smith is so delightfully alien.)
