Jack Darkhand
I have spent a lot of my day making phone calls and letting people know that Jack Darkhand passed on last night.
It was very unexpected; he was feeling tired and went to take a shower. When his wife, Linda, checked on him later, he was gone. I talked briefly with Linda today, and she is understandably still in shock. She and Jack have two young daughters, and I do not know yet how they are doing, or how Linda is doing with explaining things to them.
We live about ten minutes from them, so we've made it clear that Linda can call on us for anything, and we will continue checking in on them. If you have experienced this kind of loss, please let me know what was most helpful to you in getting through it.
