Now that I've gotten settled down kind of I guess now would be a good time to ask around for a job. It'll give me something to do, since I'm getting pretty stir crazy just sitting around all day not knowing what to do with myself, and after doing that for years I don't want to get back into that habit. Having my own income wouldn't be too bad

Dan makes his way back to the apartment. He has a coffee in each hand, both black but he's got milk and sugar cubes at home if Laurie takes it different. He knocks with the toe of his shoe, not wanting to put down either cup. And it would buy a few extra seconds to collect himself.

He takes a gulp of fresh air for courage. No backing down or out, she deserves the truth. That can't be compromised.

Goddamn, Rorschach. This would be your work.

Laurie had been busying herself around the apartment while Dan was out. Luckily, she was used to finding ways of killing time. She had been reading a magazine when Dan knocked.

She heads over to the door, opening it. There's a small smile on her face, even though a slight annoyance is still bubbling up. Dan had promised to tell her what went on, and so far she's been finding things out the hard way.

She looks at the coffee, and steps aside to let Dan in, heading back into the apartment. "Thanks Dan, I take it with two sugars."

He'll bring it up on his own, after all, that is why he headed home. He knows what she wants, might as well not demand it...yet.

There's a new store in the Square but I don't know if they're hiring right now or not.
