last night i kept natalie company as she house-sat/dog-sat for andy's brother in zeeland. wooo--weee. i will tell you what. that is one BIG dog. one CRAZY dog. it is an all white german shephard. and it could have swallowed me in one bite. i think it wanted to on several occasions also (like for the first half hour it knew me). but then he was cool

I'm glad Bolt didn't eat you. He can be a little protective, but it's strange for me to think of him as being threatening - I've known him since he was a puppy, so we both act like small children together even though we're both grumpy old men now.

It's unlikely that Bolt would have attacked you for getting out of bed - once someone is in the house for a while, he's okay. But, eh, it's okay. Too bad he didn't wake you both up by jumping on the bed and giving you a great big good morning kiss. It is an experience which happened to me several times while I lived with Jeff. I'm quite sure Jeff encouraged him to do that, and I would have done the same for you. It's an interesting way to start your morning.

I'm Andy's (and Jeff's) aunt and want to thank you for helping Natalie babysit Bolt. He's a wuss (my little 30 pound Border Collie Dart is much more dangerous than he is) and he'd never (even in the first 5 minutes he knew you) try to hurt you!
