hmm. seems to me that being in the military, especially under active duty, would place strain on the adrenal glands/system... being on alert, or being in the combat zone, no? Perhaps this is something they know something about, or know another military surgeon who knows more about it.
I'm glad you're not in much discomfort, and that you're doing everything you can do to keep yourself well informed and proactive in your own treatment.
