Hiroshima isn't nearly as bad as Nagasaki. At least with Hiroshima we can claim that it saved lives by forestalling the invasion of the Japanese home islands and that we were partially ignorant of just what it would do (though we had a pretty good idea). Nagasaki however was dropped while the Japanese were already in the process of figuring out how to surrender. We dropped that one mostly to prove to the Russians that we could do it again. At least that's my opinion. I'm glad that you were so affected by it though. As Americans its easy to villify the German Concentration camps, and the Japanese beheading their captured enemies. It's important to remember though that just because other countries committed atrocities, it in no way excuses our own.
