Question for anyone that watches The CW in HD

I was really upset to find that this week my normally 16:9 HD Smallville and Supernatural were letterboxed this week (and partially last week). I believe it may have been was broadcast in 4:3 instead of 16:9

Mine were 4:3 letterboxed versions of the already widescreen print as well (well 1.78:1 forced to be 2.2:1 basically) on BOTH shows.

They did this shit last year too. NBCHD has been bad about it as well. THey almost "forget" to reconfigure or something I think. Its just... bad.

Yeah, I've had this happen before on other channels, but they've usually fixed it mid-episode or by the next week. It worries me that it's happened 2 weeks in a row (for Smallville, at least, the last 15 mins 2 weeks ago switched)

I'm worried that they realized they weren't showing the scrolly ad things over the show that they do in SD and maybe decided that their HD broadcast was just going to be the SD but in higher quality. I just don't know. I'm going to call and find out, but I'm sure it'll be a hopeless cause because they'll either have no information if there's a problem or if it's a permament thing, they're not going to change it. But maybe I might put some of the suspense to rest.

Where I live (Studio City) we don't even *get* HD CW. It's just crappy regular-broadcast letterbox. Which is often choppy and bad sometimes. :(

bad news, they dont make the face closeup jared/jenson giant billboard poster in the smaller sizes. But I can most likely get you other ones!
