Haven't posted here in a while

But I thought I'd post here instead of Facebook. This is more like a diary cause you can easily look up past entries (try that with Facebook. Facebook is more of a here and now, but I do like looking back at what I wrote. And I won't write in a diary cause I guess I do want other people to read it to make it worthwhile posting).

1. I'm still in love with my car. I so made the right choice between it and the Outback (yes, car thoughts is what got me back posting here cause I went back to look at my posts while searching for a car). If nothing else every time I see how slow the gas gauge goes down I'm so happy I have a fuel efficient car (the Outback would have had tolerable gas mileage as it rated the same as my old car. I think I really wanted something a ilttle better). And it's fun. And handles well (for a FWD, but it still handles quite well, stiff suspension, low). And oh so pretty (yes, I'm shallow. If I wasn't I could have had an Integra for much cheaper and I hear they handle well as well).

2. I didn't realize that I knew I'd get a speeding ticket before I bought the Celica. I know I kept joking about it after I got it (and whadya know, I got a speeding ticket in it). But I didn't realize that thought crossed my mind after my first test drive.

3. I need a better job or to spend a whole lot less, maybe give up some luxuries. I have a decent amount of savings but argh, I don't know how I haven't eaten through them yet. Between my parents and my grandparents xmas gifts I shouldn't have just barely paid my bills. I don't have any of htat money left over to sped on anything besides bills.

4. Damn, talking about finances seriously depressed me.

5. I've been so car obsessed this year. My bike has not gotten much attention. Well between having a new car I love and doesn't make me cringe at the gas pump and a new position at my work that has me tired so that I don't want to ride when it's a day I groom dogs... well commuting is most my riding so that cut down a lot of my riding. Which also makes me feel less in tune with my bike. Which discourages me from riding. it's not a good circle.

6. Rebel got sold. Glad it's gone. I liked it, but I was feeling guilty cause it sat around a lot. shoot lately my Ninja has been sitting around more than it should (no way am I selling that unless I have to though).

7. My Ninja is still my newest vehicle *giggle*. though my car is practically brand new compared to my previous cars (well under 10 years and less than 100k miles).

8. My computer is pissing me off. I really need to wipe it and reinstall the OS. But I am too slack to take the time. But it's getting to the point that it gets frustrating with how many times it must pause to process something. Sometimes something as simple as one keystroke or a mouse click.

9. The iPhone rules. Though honestly talking about budget cutting, that is one thing that could be considerd a luxury. Not really sure it would save me much money (I'm paying 50 bux a month by splitting an account with my roommate which also shares his job discount he gets).

10. cable is another luxury I could do without. as well as internet. All of which I'd be miserable and I have a hard time giving up. Not to mention how would I work that out since I split all of those costs with roommate and since he can afford them I'm not sure how we'd work something out that would be fair. Not fair to have him pay everything but I know he'd feel awkward asking me not to use them if I don't pay when it doesn't make it cheaper for him unless I pay (Well the cellphone would be an easier one to work out I think). But, that won't be an issue until it gets more necessary as I really don't think I can get myself to that level right now. But they are expandable if I had to. And I really hope I don't get to that, cause I'm not sure how I'm going to get myeslf to give that up (yes, i'm addicted).

11. Not sure reducing my dining out will help enough. But I probably should stop going to anything even above moderate (moderate being 10-12 dollars with tax). Or stop going out near as much.

12. Ok, now i'm just writing stuff to write stuff I think. I'll stop.

13. Let me add that my four most important to me posessions: My car, my bike, my computer, my iphone. Cutting down on the bills I don't absolutely need reduces two of those (the iphone would really reduce in usability without the data plan and without internet whlie my computer still would be very useful to me as I keep all my important info on it, would make it just practical and nowhere good a time killer). I guess if I didn't have TV/internet maybe I'd be more productive as I wouldn't have two of my real big timekillers.
