Character Name: Astaroshe "Astha" Asran, the Viscountess of Odessa and the Duchess of Kiev.
Character Series: Trinity Blood.
Character Age: Around 75 years old, but she looks to be in her late 20s.
Background:
Here! I'll be taking her after the Queen of the Night arc.
Personality: At a first glance, Astharoshe Asran is a very strong individual who is hot-headed, no-nonsense and very strict. She's also the kind to tell it like it is and doesn't bother with sugarcoating just how she feels (or with how much of an idiot you are, because that will happen rather frequently. Especially if your name is Abel Nightroad.) Though, even with this strong front, she can be impulsive at times, especially when it comes to the people she cares about. When her partner was killed, a term she takes very seriously, she became blinded by her rage and ended up murdering people on hot pursuit of the murderer. Yet, after Astha realized the gravity of her reaction, she regretted doing so and tries to keep her emotions in check from now on, something that she is still working on to this day.
Yet, even with her spitfire temper, she can be surprisingly motherly to those who need it. When Ion Fortuna, the Earl of Memphis, needed support and wisdom after being framed with his grandmother's murder, Astharoshe offered it to him in a very blunt, but also gentle and kind way towards him. She can also be soft and caring when it comes down to it and be an ear to someone who needs it, like when she talked with Esther Blanchett in the baths about the star birthmark that she had and helped to quell some of her worries that she had. Although, Astharoshe tends to not show this side of herself that often unless if someone really needs it, they have earned her trust and respect, or if they are in need of her harsh, but yet caring, words and actions.
Initially, though, Astharoshe hated humans, known as Terrans in her world, and called them barbaric and stupid, among other things. This was mostly because of propaganda brought by the Empire as well as limited exposure and understanding of them. However, after Astha spent time with people like Esther Blanchett, her opinion on them softened and she decided that here on out that she wouldn't discriminate against the Terrans based on what the Empire had painted them as.
Another side to her is that, to the people she cares about, she will do whatever is necessary to protect and take care of them. Sure, she might decide to do it in an unconventional way by telling them to shut up and listen to her or be rough with them, but really - she does care about others. She's also willing to listen to what other people have to say and offer her own opinion, something that comes with her position as a Duchess in the Council. She's able to be calm and collected when the situation calls for it and this sort of maturity has brought her an esteemed and respected position among her fellow councilmen and councilwomen. Yet another facet of her personality is that Astha feels deep devotion and respect for her empire and more importantly, her empress Augusta Vradica (or really Seth Nightlord, Abel's sister.) The empress holds a deep place in Astharoshe's heart since Augusta is regularly called "the mother to all Methuselah" and is also a very kind person. So, it is rather natural that she would feel such a deep respect towards her and would do what is necessary to protect her.
All in all, Astharoshe is someone who's rough around the edges, but as soon as someone manages to earn her trust and her respect, she would do whatever is necessary to help and protect them through anything that would come their way, no questions asked.
Abilities: Astharoshe is a Methuselah, a vampire who feeds on human blood. They live well beyond normal humans do, have increased strength and enhanced speed. In addition to this, they can heal and regenerate as needed. They also possess varying individual powers that manifest in the form of a blade, claws, or even sharp, prehensile hair. Astaroshe is also able to go into a process known as "haste mode" which she can move at rather fast speeds for a short time by stimulating their nervous systems. However, haste mode does have a drawback since if it's used for too long, she can become severely exhausted. Typically, a Methuselah must drink blood in order to replenish the blood lost to a Bacillus, a nanite that's a different strain from a Crusnik. She must also avoid sunlight as it will cause the strain to rapidly devour her body. Silver also is another weakness since it acts as an antibiotic and causes a Methuselah to have serious injuries and even death.
Astharoshe can also fight with a weapon known as the Spear of Gae Bolg, the most powerful close-combat weapon in the Lost Technology relics. It uses ionized xenon gas to create a high-density, high temperature plasma blade that's capable of cutting through anything and everything.

... Right, so. Are we all done ranting and raving about the undead being around? We are? Good.
I can't say that was my first time dealing with undead, but you know - sometimes events happen all over again when we don't want them to. Then, we have to get back to our feet and keep moving.
Though, I have to say - thanks for the warm-up. It was appreciated, Mayfield.
