Tigriss has an opinion on something?

There's something that's irked me just a tad about the Edoropolis Emporium, and I'd like to make a polite objection. I was told that it might be disruptive to actually post this on that forum, but I would still like to toss in my two yen on the subject, so this is a compromise.

I don't think a thread shouldn't get locked everytime the slightest "gay" something-or-other gets mentioned. Otherwise we'd have to completely ban talk about Big Cheesy and we might as well not say anything about "Gender Bender Butterflies" while we're at it. I think we should be able to get along, and if an uncomfortable subject comes up, it could be slightly modded, or moved to a more appropriate location instead of locked, deleted, or forbidden entirely. Yes, Vi's idea for reforming Nihonbare might be a good compromise, but I still don't see why it's needed. As long as sex and explicit stuff is not brought up, why shouldn't someone be allowed to say they like a Speedy/Guido or Polly/Lucille pairing as well as a Speedy/Polly or a Francine/Guido one? A topic like this could even have it's own thread, child-board, or whatever. That way those who don't mind the topic could post there, and those who dislike it can avoid the discussion.

Yeah, I'd agree that we should keep the Pizza Cats community focused on fandom and not get bogged down in more serious issues that would cause big flames or arguments among members (as mentioned before, I hate it when that happens), but I don't think this is too much to ask. We're all from different locations, backgrounds, beliefs, and cultures here. We should learn to accept the fact that we don't all think alike; we may have disagreements, but we should still respect one another and not get so offended if one person happens to like ham on their pizza when the majority likes pepperoni (I couldn't resist a pizza-analogy...  ^^; )

This is my opinion. Take it for what it is.
