I loved this! The flow of the story was perfect, the way things shifted and changed for both of them. You've done a fantastic job of storytelling here. Very nicely written.

This is lovely. I like the rhythmic repetition of numbers and how they seem to fill in for emotions. And what a great description of Thomas's epiphany moment: He was laughing, mouth spread wide, and Thomas smiled back, maybe a little stupidly, suddenly feeling a little too warm despite being in the water, the coolness of the air in the Center against his face. And then, as David swam towards him on an almost intercept course and Thomas's hand started to skim out across the water, to touch, or maybe to pull him closer, something clicked in his brain. Really neat exploration of the relationship between these two.
