You have no idea how long I've been waiting for this. Well, yes you do since I've been flailing at you about it ever since you first mentioned the boggart!fic.
The day after Spencer arrives home, Jon sends him a picture from the beach: Brendon and Shane, surfboards under arms, dogs trailing at their heels. He writes, wish you were here.
Spencer thinks, me too, because it’s true, it is. But he can’t be there, not right now. He writes: catch a wave for me.
Half an hour later, Jon sends him a picture of a wave. He writes, caught.
Oh, I love this so much. It's the fiorst bandom fic I've read in a while -- I've really been out of it lately -- and it's really good. Exactly the kind of fic I love to bits.
...And I just noticed there are more parts to this. Um. I'll have to read those later, I'm afraid -- emotional overload. I thought this was lovely by itself, but I'm looking forward to reading the rest of them when I have the time!

That made me promptly burst into tears.

(But I will admit, it's still one of my favorite exchanges in the whole story.)
