As most of you know, I went to Surrey, BC back in October (19-22, was it?) with my sister Erin, where we attended the Surrey International Writers Conference.

Hi Mel,
Loved the story about the conference and your writing. Already heard Erin's version so its nice to hear yours too. I missed you this holiday. It's not the same without you! (Boo Hoo)

Heard you signed on for another year there. I think that will give you time to write and think about what you want to do. I'm so glad you're writing again. If you ever need someone to read, I'll be glad to do so. I just finished the Golden Compass by Philip Pullman, I've started book 2 of the series there are 3 of them. Have you read it yet? It's boring for about 2 chapters then gets better. I liked it and am looking forward to seeing what they did to it in the movie. I'm feeling much better after my surgeries this Fall. What a cruddy time that was! I'm glad it's over. Well got to run. Take care of yourself and keep on writing. Love, Linda

Grandpa and I just listened to the hippo song - brilliant! You can be an early childhood music teacher if the writing thing doesn't work out... Happy Thanksgiving, and keep up the blogging. We love you!
