Person A's work is the same in the US. People get VERY upset when I offer to help others with their work, regardless of whether they need it or not. It is seen as a flaw IN ME! So I don't do it as much any more. I no longer clean the back porch at work. I no longer do the dishes. Well, not often anyway. I am actually a little underutilized this year.
I am sure you will come up with a good use of your free time - drawing, writing (your blockbuster book and screenplay based on your life in Japan), studying Japanese, taking an online course, etc.
Regardless, I find your humorous rantings very entertaining. I saw Richard Beaton today and he said he read your blog. You have a loyal following! Keep it up!
