Howdy folks!
....and now that I've got that out of my system (that is, the lingering tic that lodged itself in my person from the moment I set myself down before the Country Bear Jamboree show at Disney not 2 weeks past--thanks, Linda)...

Aw, that sounds like fun! I want to meet your kids! They're the adorable school children that I never got to meet at Hiroshima.

Note on the Japanese cultural note: Monkeys? How uncreative! That's just no fun at all!! Unless they're spirit-possessed monkeys. Where do ghosts hang out if not in graveyards? Do they call them "graveyards," exactly? Because if they don't have graves, they aren't really graveyards, are they? They're more... post-mortem temporary family-plot locations. And that's just silly.

I would seriously like to see a picture of Tsuruya-sensei dancing and twirling around while Celine Dion sings Feliz Navidad. Can you send me one? A video would be even better. In return, I would send a video of me doing the Chicken Dance with my chicken hat on. Really!

Feliz Navidad is a great song, for all the reasons you list. If you want more international kids songs, let me know. I have several in Spanish that are easy and catchy. Maybe a couple in French, too. Not Christmas, though.

Loved the long narrative and all the photos. Your children are so precious! I can't wait until the next story. How is your book coming? What? You haven't started writing it yet? Why not???

WE MISS YOU here! The house is dealy quiet with you gone and we are all just sitting around trying to figure out how to afford to see you more often. Sigh.

Love, You know who...
