Indeed it is. And so easy to combine with some less-intensive television.

Hi! I know I know you from dancingpeas, but I've never been to your LJ. I desperately need some tea and cookies because I'm sick with a cold, yet I trudged off to work.

Hee--I am also very good at procrastination and laziness! The state of my house is a testament to that!

Aw. I'll make you some nice herb tea.

Heh. Glad I'm not the only one. I'm trying to get my room sorted out this week, though. After living in a right mess for the last month, at least.

Ah yes, knitting is surprisingly addictive. Soon you'll have a whole closet of yarn and patterns you intend to make someday. Heh. And I find that it feeds my need for math, strangely enough.

Don't worry about the age thing, my birthday is next week so not only can I not always remember how old I am right now - 34 - but I keep flashing forward besides.

Oh yes and an intro -
I live in the Bay Area of CA. I work as a stage manager for a regional theatre, and we have our first preview and photo call today so I may not be around as much as i'd like. Let's see; I knit and crochet, read as much as I can, and am working on defeating my netflix list (at last count there were 270 movies in my queue). I also run, somewhat slowly but I can keep going. I'm in a relationship with a fabulous guy and have a few close friends, though I don't get to hang out with them as much as I'd like (see theatre). It was the Veronica Mars fandom that first pulled me into being really active here.

That is is, yes. Already I can't comfortable leave a yarn shop without some yarn even though I don't have a project for it.
I've heard about the knitting-maths connection, but I don't quite get that yet. No doubt it'll come, though.

Sounds like a nice job.

I started watching Veronica Mars once it ended up on Dutch TV (a good while after it started on U.S. telly) but sort of dropped it when I dropped watching actual television in favour of watching TV on my computer. Which has created somewhat of a backlog for me, too.

Oh yeah, you're in the beginning stages of forming your yarn stash. It's a fun place to be. The math is mostly in the creating your own patterns, or altering other's patterns to be what you want. It's easy enough to avoid if you want, but part of the fun for me.

Heh - yeah when you transfer mediums all kinds of things get backed up. It's worth finishing out VM someday - they ended it nicely.

It is, yes. *g*
So far I've not yet ventured beyond hats and scarves, but it'd be cool to knit my own sweater one day.

Yeah? I'll add it to my list of shows to watch, I enjoyed the few episodes I did see.
