So... It's 2005, didn't think I'd make it this far, but then again, I didn't think i'd make it past high school.. :-) Spending a quiet evening with the boy, geeking out.... He's sitting next to me using a diff laptop

Hopefully we can! But I want to forewarn you that even though I'll be there for 2 weeks, I may not find the time to meet you... :-/ I have disappointed many online friends by being in their town for a period of time and not having the time to spend with them... :-( Big example would be my friends in Portland, OR... whenever I visit my mom, it's rare that I get to hang out with anyone since mom and I are so busy spending time together... I don't know how much activity is planned for my mom and I upon our arrival, so we'll see... I'll keep you posted.. :-)
Just because I live in Southern California doesn't mean it's 80 degrees and roses here... Before Thanksgiving, my family from Boise & Whitefish, Montana came to visit, and THEY froze their asses off.... they even apologized to me for giving me a hard time when they saw me a year ago and I mentioned how cold it was here.."bah, cold in Southern California? We came from snow! You're such a wuss!"... Let's see, it IS snowing here, and the HIGH is 30 degrees... oh, and when it's not snowing, it's raining in torrents with an icy wind blowing... I lived in Idaho and Montana for more than half of my life, so I know cold... and this is cold...
And yes, luckily the Tsunami didn't hit the Philippines.. but then again, the Philippines is nowhere near where the Tsunami hit... so... I wasn't worried... :-)
I feel old too.. my 5 year reunion is coming up... I'm not going to go though, but I still feel old being able to say that I graduated HS 5 years ago.. :-/
You don't have to allow me to wait a week, in less than a week I will be sitting in 80 degree tropical weather!!!! There's nothing wrong with rollerblading on the beach in the winter, I actually did the weekend before Christmas!!! (but I wasn't wearing a speedo!! hehe) But then again, that is exactly why 12 million+ people choose to live in Los Angeles, due to the normally warm and mild climate... 2 weeks worth of heavy rains that cause sinkholes, mudslides (hey man, those people took a big risk building their house on the side of a mountain!), and immense flooding... But once again, like I said, I lived in Idaho & Montana for 11 years!! I grew up in the snow, and know plenty about freezing temperatures, and right now temperatures are comparable! But then again, if you check a map, a topographical map even, you'll see that Lancaster (where I call home, and my mailing address) is on the other side of a mountain range from Los Angeles (an hour drive, 40 mins for me since I'm a speed demon), and I'm about 2000 ft ABOVE Los Angeles... so
